As educators, support staff, and administrators, we understand that our role is to enhance the relationship between our schools and community. We have a host of community partnerships that serve to support the unique needs of our diverse community. We work closely with our community partners to listen and learn about ways we can improve our policies and practices to positive affect our families and community.

Aces

The Chester County ACEs Coalition is a collective impact initiative to bring awareness, knowledge, prevention, and initiatives throughout the county on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), trauma, and toxic-stress. Building resiliency and fostering hope can offset the cycle of trauma as well as contribute to long-term health benefits, bringing strength to our communities.

Barnstone Art For Kids

Barnstone Art for Kids is a 501(c)(3) organization located in Phoenixville, PA that uses the Power of Art to foster resiliency in children facing adversity. Children benefit from sustained one-on-one interactions with a motivated mentor and our mentors are rewarded with a sense of fulfillment and a chance to make a difference.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence

Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence is a donor-supported organization that enriches, encourages and empowers children to reach their highest potential through safe, one-to-one mentoring relationships.

Alianzas

Alianzas strives for equity and the dignity of diverse Communities regardless of their country of origin by providing services to the under resourced and by promoting intercultural exchanges to connect all individuals in the broader community.

Crescendo Strings

Crescendo Phoenixville is a community music organization that provides high-quality music education to children who might otherwise not receive it. We can build a strong arts community for our children, together!


Diversity in Action

Diversity in Action promotes the awareness and practice of racial and social justice within the greater Phoenixville community. By Building mutually caring relationships, we strive to find common ground and reconcile differences. We create programs that foster awareness, education and celebration of our diverse cultures and shared humanity.

Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts - We’re 2.8 million strong girls and adults who believe every girl can change the world. It began over 100 years ago with one woman, Juliette Gordon Low—also known as Daisy. She believed in the power of every girl. Today, we continue her mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place, by helping them discover their inner strength, passions, and talents. And with programs from coast to coast and across oceans, there’s a chance for every girl to do something amazing.


Health Care Access

Since 1999, Health Care Access has been connecting uninsured and underinsured residents of the Greater Phoenixville area with specialized health care services. Our clients receive treatment from a network of providers for dental and vision care, mammograms, emergency orthopedic care, and help with prescription medications.  Health Care Access


The HUB

The HUB is a community meeting in which representatives from various service systems meet and problem-solve to prevent or intervene where social concerns exist.  In Phoenixville, the model was initiated in the fall of 2016.  The Phoenixville HUB centers around the needs of PASD students and families.  A meeting is hosted at the district administration building every three weeks.  Specific cases are presented individually to try and match problems with existing solutions in the community.

Jaycees members are full of energy and are committed to making positive changes in the community. Our membership shares a dynamic network across the globe that can link you to opportunities to achieve personal and professional goals.  We are always open to new ideas and welcoming new members. If you are looking to make a difference in the community, the Jaycees can help make that a reality.


Living Room Conversations 

Living Room Conversations are a simple way to connect across divides - politics, age, gender, race, nationality, and more.  The backbone of a Living Room Conversation is a conversational model developed by dialogue experts in order to facilitate connection between people despite their differences, and even identify areas of common ground and shared understanding.


Phoenixville Area Positive Alternatives (PAPA)

PAPA, primarily a volunteer, grass-roots organization supports the youth of Phoenixville in becoming successful and productive adults through programs that have a positive impact on self-esteem and life skills development. PAPA works closely with the Phoenixville Area School District, the Borough of Phoenixville, Phoenixville Community Health Foundation and other local organizations to create a positive, effective, and motivating force in the Phoenixville community.


Phoenixville Area School District Adopt-a-Family Efforts

During the holiday season each PASD school and administration building organizes a food and gift drive to support families in our community.  The school counselors and the home and school liaisons work to ensure each family's specific needs are met.


Phoenixville Community Education Foundation (PCEF)

The mission of the Phoenixville Community Education Foundation is to secure and provide resources that enhance the overall educational experience within the Phoenixville Area School District, including learning initiatives, preparedness programs and out of the classroom activities.

• Phantom Food Packs (Chester County Food Bank, PCHF, PCEF) The Phantom Food Packs is a partnership between the Cheater County Food Bank, Phoenixville Health Foundation and the Phoenixville Community Education Foundation.  This partnership provides food for children in the district who face food insecurity over the weekend.

• PCEF Together We Can Funding/Internet for All With the move to virtual instruction in fall 2020, PCEF is committed to ensuring that every student has access to the internet, so they can continue their education even while at home.  We estimate that 200-300 families currently cannot afford internet service and up until now have gone without or relied on cell phone coverage for email and other communication.

• PCEF Student Activity Access Grants PASD students may apply to PCEF for up to $300 in funding to help cover the cost of  certain educational or school-sponsored activities that cost more than they or their families are able to afford.

Phoenixville Area Social Concerns Committee mission our mission to promote community and racial harmony throughout the Greater Phoenixville community in the spirit of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., our work and our upcoming events. • Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Prayer Breakfast 


Project Libertad/Immigrant Psychology Network

Project Libertad empowers newcomer immigrant youth and their families by providing essential, youth-led and youth-centered legal and social services. We envision a world where all newcomer immigrant youth have access to the legal services, social services, academic support, and leadership opportunities needed to thrive.


Phoenixville YMCA

The YMCA is one of the nation’s leading nonprofits strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Throughout the Greater Philadelphia region, we serve more than 180,000 members and 240,000 individuals a year- regardless of age, income, or background.
